Local alumni meet with Cornell applicants from the Greater Hartford area to inform the candidates about Cornell and the Cornell experience, as well as to inform the Admissions Office of the applicant's potential contributions and to encourage the applicants to enroll at Cornell if accepted.
In addition, CAAAN contacts area guidance counselors, holds receptions for applicants, hosts a send-off party for entering freshmen, and publishes a local-area student directory.
